Crossroads Blues Society Membership Update 

Last June, Steve Jones agreed to start tracking each membership for the Crossroads Blues Society. For many years we have used the honor system for collecting membership dues, particularly for renewals. With Steve’s help, we have been tracking the start dates for new members and all renewals for continuing members. We will now have the information needed to include renewal notices with newsletters as your membership gets close to its expiration date. 

Another benefit the accurate records will add is the ability to review our mailing list so that it reflects our current membership. We have been sending out over 130 newsletters every other month. It is becoming very apparent that a significant number of the people on the current list have not renewed their membership in the last year. With the costs of mailing the newsletter possibly on the rise, we can no longer afford to continue sending out newsletters without receiving financial support in return.  

We will be printing an up-to-date membership list in the May-June issue of Blueseye. After June 30, 2005, anyone on the mailing list that has not renewed their membership will be removed from the mailing list and no longer considered a member of the Society. 

It is our hope that everyone will decide to continue to support our organization and our ongoing efforts to bring Blues in the Schools programs to the greater Rockford area. Your membership dues provide a key portion of the total dollars needed to cover the costs of each Blues in the Schools presentation.
