News and Upcoming Events Some advance notice on scheduled shows of interest to our Blues fans… Crossroads September Members Meeting !!! Our next meeting will be on Saturday, Sept. 18, starting at 7:15 p.m. at Big Cities Lounge - 905 E State St. in Rockford. We will be discussing plans for Blues in the Schools in October. We have received confirmation from Fruteland Jackson and Michael "Hawkeye" Herman. Several members have started contacting schools to set up our schedule of visits. We are also hoping to be able to stage another concert at the Hononegah High School Performing Arts Center with both musicians. Following the meeting will be music by the great West Coast guitarist Chris Cain. Chris is making his return to our area. You don't want to miss this show!!! **** Note **** Nino is offering Crossroads members the opportunity to purchase advance tickets for the Chris Cain show. Tickets will be $15 the day of the show. If you stop by Big Cities before the 18th, you can purchase tickets for only $10. Take advantage of this generous offer from Nino. Mark your calenders now - this promises to be a great evening. B.B. King will be performing at the Coronado Theater on Thursday, December 2nd at 8 pm. Magic Slim and the Teardrops will also be performing that night. Tickets for the show will go on sale beginning Friday, September 10 at 11:00 am.
